About

About me

I am an experienced Person-Centred Counsellor, Integrative Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor, with a compassionate, holistic approach to emotional wellbeing and personal development. I have been practising therapeutically since 2014 and hold an MSc in Counselling and Positive Psychology, a BSc in Psychology and postgraduate training in Clinical Supervision. I am also a registered member of the BACP.

At the heart of my practice is the belief that every person is unique and has within themselves the capacity for greater understanding, healing and change. I therefore place you at the centre of therapy, providing a safe, confidential and non-judgemental relationship in which you can explore your experiences, emotions and difficulties at a pace that feels right for you.

Although my foundation is person-centred, my extensive training and experience allow me to work dynamically and integratively. Over the years I have developed knowledge and training across a range of approaches, including Positive Psychology, Mindfulness and MBCT, CBT, Solution-Focused approaches, hypnotherapy, EMDR, NLP and EFT. Rather than following a single formula, I consider the whole person and tailor the therapeutic process to your individual needs, preferences and goals.

My experience includes supporting people experiencing trauma and complex trauma, domestic abuse, anxiety, stress, loss, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem and other emotional and life challenges. I have also worked extensively with young people and university students, including individuals with mental health difficulties and neurodivergent students., having completed extensive training in autistic spectrum conditions.

Integrating Experience

Alongside counselling and psychotherapy, I am a qualified Clinical Supervisor, supporting both developing and established practitioners. My wider background in holistic and spiritual approaches has also influenced my understanding of wellbeing. Where this is meaningful and appropriate for the individual, I recognise emotional, psychological, physical and spiritual wellbeing as interconnected.

Ultimately, I believe therapy is not about telling you who you should be or what you should do. It is about creating a relationship in which you can understand yourself more deeply, recognise your own strengths and needs, and discover the way forward that is right for you.

Integrated Approach

I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and techniques, adapting how we work to meet your individual needs, preferences and goals.

Mindfullness based

I use mindfulness-based approaches to help you become more aware of your thoughts, emotions and physical sensations, creating space to respond with greater understanding, acceptance and choice.

Solution
Focused

I use solution-focused approaches to help you recognise your strengths and resources, identify meaningful goals, and develop practical steps towards positive and achievable change.

EMDR informed Hypnotherapy

I integrate principles from EMDR with hypnotherapy to support the safe exploration and processing of difficult experiences, emotional responses and unhelpful patterns.

NLP informed Coaching

I draw on NLP-informed coaching techniques to explore patterns of thinking, language and behaviour, helping you develop greater self-awareness, recognise your strengths and create positive, meaningful change.

Positve Psychology informed Therapy
